Stu’s 25+ years of experience as a Vice President of Finance, COO, IT Manager, consultant and entrepreneur gives him an edge on knowing which questions to ask and how to provide the best solution for the small- to mid-market, closely-held business. As a Partner with B2B CFO®, Stu serves as a CFO and trusted business advisor to clients in numerous industries, including wholesale and retail clients, urgent care and physical therapy practices, commercial and residential construction, government contractors, service companies and the wireless services industry. He has assisted these firms in cash flow management, forecasting, profit improvement, increasing company value and preparing for a successful exit.

As VP Finance for a commercial and industrial building materials distributor, he developed effective systems to reduce inventory losses, improve inventory turns, increase Point of Sale efficiency, and decrease the AR collection period. He streamlined operational procedures establishing employee incentive programs that reduced inventory losses to less than .5%. Experienced in the non-profit sector serving as the Information Technology Manager for the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, he benchmarked their IT systems and replaced a poorly designed undocumented custom system with a complete enterprise solution including full support for ticketing, renewals, accounting, and development departments. He has owned and operated a consulting business focused on assisting startup businesses in building the infrastructure required to support future growth by creating effective IT, HR, operational and accounting structures and assisting with strategic marketing plans.

Stu attended Loyola University Maryland on a Presidential Scholarship graduating with a Bachelors of Business Administration, continued his education in accounting at Towson State University and is a Certified Quickbooks Pro Advisor. He has been trained as a Certified Business Exit Consultant (CBEC) through Pinnacle Equity Solutions. Stu is a member of the Exit Planning Exchange, DC Metro Chapter and the Financial Executives Networking Group (FENG). As a partner in a branch of Tae Kwon Do studios, he earned his 2nd degree Black Belt. Stu resides in Ellicott City, Maryland with his wife of 27 years, Linda, and three children. He is active in his community as a Leadership Howard County Essentials Coach and serves on the Habitat for Humanity of the Chesapeake’s Board of Directors. He is currently functioning as Habitat’s Restore committee Chair. Stu enjoys golfing and the outdoors and has been fortunate to share numerous missions’ trips to Central America with both of his daughters.
