Biography:
Mo is a Group Vice President and the Commercial Banking Manager for the Greater Baltimore Region of M&T. He is an active member of the Bank’s leadership and sits on its Baltimore Charitable Committee, Volunteerism Committee and Lending Transformation Team. Mo joined M&T Bank in September 1995, and spent his first 8 years with the Bank in the Finance Division. In August 2003, he moved to Baltimore to head the Bank’s Commercial Equipment Finance business. Prior to assuming his current role in January 2012, Mo spent three years managing the Bank’s Commercial Deposit and Treasury Management Businesses and leading the Treasury Management, Merchant Services and Commercial Card sales teams.

Today Mo and his team support the comprehensive banking needs of M&T’s commercial clients in Greater Baltimore. The group also partners with internal business partners and in-market centers of influence to actively seek new relationships with prospective clients throughout the region. Success ranges from attracting a full relationship to making inroads using commercial deposit and treasury management services or in-market transactional credit as an entrée into new customers.

Since moving to Baltimore, Mo immersed himself in his new community. Today, he is a member of the National Aquarium Executive Board of Directors and Treasurer of the Institute’s Executive Committee. He chairs the Vision Committee and Finance & Audit Committee while also sitting on the Compensation and Development Committees. Beyond the Aquarium, in 2007 Mo was appointed to the Board of Directors of the Y of Central Maryland where he Chairs the Y’s Governance and Board Development sub-committee and is a member of the Executive Committee. In 2011, he was appointed to the St. Agnes Hospital Board of Directors where he also sits on the Finance and Audit sub-Committees of the board. He is actively engage in the Pencil Program where he partners with an inner-city school principal to assist in setting and measuring enrichment strategy for the school’s students and parents. He sits on the Cal Ripken Senior Foundation Development Committee and the Center Club’s House Committee. Mo is a past chair of the M&T’s Baltimore Heart Walk where under his leadership the Bank generated a company record $47,500 for the American Heart and Stroke Association. In addition, he was named to the Baltimore Business Journal’s 2006 40 under 40. In 2007, he graduated from the 24th Greater Baltimore Committee’s The Leadership class, a community oriented leadership program geared towards issues facing the Baltimore community.
